Profile
Having lived, studied and worked in London for five years, I moved back to my native Dorset in early 2010, and now work from a large studio space on a working farm in North Dorset. From my studio I run a screen printing business, called Barnhaus, www.barnhaus.net, and also work on my own illustration and printmaking work. I also run a graphic design, moving image and web design studio with two friends; www.bantamstudio.com.
The focus of my work lies with printmaking, photography, painting and collage, and recently in noise / sound art, and building synthesisers and noise machines.
Whilst I have always loved graphic design, typography and all things crisp and minimal my process has encountered a shift toward a more hands on approach in the last few years. With this in mind I approach image making from a visual communication point of view and like to think that my work harnesses the best bits of both design and image making to arrive at my own visual style.
When I’m not screen printing or working on something arty, I am most likely stuck into hot rodding classic cars in the workshop attached to my studio… currently on the go is my Morris Minor saloon, soon to be followed by a Morris Minor van and then an MG Midget.
If you would like to enquire about artwork for sale, discuss a commission or anything else at all please feel free to email or call me.
